According to its statutes approved by decree of Minister of interior on the 18th of december 1981, the Foundation of Lucerne abbey aims at the preservation alive of the cultural, architectural, liturgical and spiritual heritage of Normandy and more specially the Lucerne abbey, at the same vocation imposing upon the fortified castle of Pirou when this one was brought in his turn in donation to the Foundation.
The Foundation has, due to its statutes, for mission to assure the maintenance, the management, the restoration as well as the animation of the heritage which it holds.
The Foundation of Lucerne abbey can also collect donations and bequests, tax deductible by individuals and companies.

Open every day except on Sunday morning and on special services morning (mass at 11am)
From the 26th march to 30th September : 10-12am // 2-6.30pm (5pm in march)
The abbey is open during the holidays of All Saints (du 20/10 au 02/11) : 10-12am // 2-5pm.
On the historic road of Norman abbeys, Lucerne abbey is located in the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel at the center of the triangle Avranches - Granville - Villedieu-Les-Poêles.
